Weekly Update – Week of December 31st 2018
Sorry for the delay but even I take vacation sometimes. But don’t worry there were plenty of sports still going on!
Basketball – College:
- TCU calls off their game after Hawaii Pacific player Emil Isovic died. He collapsed on the bench on Dec 18th and never regained consciousness.
- Former USC coach Tony Bland pleads guilty to a corruption case to sway athletes towards certain financial advisers and business managers.
- The Pac 12 had the worst December by any conference in 20 yrs after 5 losses on Saturday only.
Basketball – NBA:
- The Mamba and his wife are expecting their 4th child.
- Kyrie Irving is out with an eye injury after scratching it during the game vs the Spurs.
Football – College:
- Tyler Trent, the Purdue Super fan who predicted the big win against Ohio St, died from his cancer yesterday.
- Urban Meyer ends his career with a W against the Washington Huskies.
- Clemson vs Alabama part 4 will commence on Jan 7th for the National Championship.
- Alabama won the last match up in last year’s semifinal but Clemson won the National Championship against them in 2017.

Football – NFL:
- Its Wild Card week. These games are played to see who makes the playoffs! Saturday is the day. See below.
Golf:
- The PGA season begins with the Sentry Tournament of Champions tomorrow.
- The PGA is thinking of experimenting with interviews during the rounds but we will see
