- Caeleb Dressel
- Most of you won’t know who he is from the Rio 2016 Games because he only swam in 1 individual event (no medal) but did get 2 relay gold medals, so nothing crazy. Until 2017 Worlds when he won 7 golds and is now trying to qualify for Tokyo 2020 in the same amount.
- He will be swimming in the 50m Free, 100m Free, 100m Fly, 4×100, Free Relay and potentially the 4x100m Medley Relay
- Results: Gold in the 50m Free, 100m Free, 100m Fly, 4x100m Free Relay, 4x100m Medley Relay

- Ryan Murphy
- You should remember him from 2016 Rio from sweeping the 100m and 200m Back, which extended Team USA’s dominance in those events (unbeaten since 1996).
- He will be competing in the backstrokes again at the Olympics
- Results: He took home bronze in the 100m Back & silver in the 200m Back ending the American lock up of that stroke since 1996.

- Katie Ledecky
- She is the woman GOAT of swimming with 5 Olympic golds in the last 2 Olympics (6 medals total). She holds the WR in 400m, 800m and 1500m Free.
- Katie made the London 2012 Olympics at age 15 (gold in 800m Free)
- She is chasing the dream of becoming the most decorated woman in Olympic history – she needs 9 golds total to beat Larisa Latynina (Soviet Union/Gymnastics) or if she’s chasing medal count total she needs 12 of any color to beat Jenny Thompson (USA/Swimming)
- Katie is competing in every Freestyle event from 200m-1500m

- Lilly King
- She is best known for sassing RUS athlete, Yuliya Yefimova, who had been banned for doping/failed drug tests 2xs. Then beating her in the 100m Breast and setting the WR.
- Lilly has 2 golds from Rio (100m Breast, 4x100m Medley)
- She will be competing in the 100m and 200m Breast at the Olympics
- Results: Bronze in the 100m Breast and silver in the 200m Breast and 4x100m Medley Relay

- Simone Manuel
- She won the gold medal in 2016 Rio in the 100m Free, which made her the first African-American woman to win an individual swimming gold. She also won gold as apart of the 4x100m medley relay and 2 silvers in Rio in the 50m Free and 4x100m Free relay.
- Simone is one of the most commercialized and recognizable names coming out of the Rio Games.
- She only advanced to the Olympics in the 50m Free and it was a close one!
- Results: she did not have a good Olympics, only making finals in one event.
- Michael Phelps – he won’t be competing but he has sure gotten some camera time during trials in the stands and the commentator booth
- Most decorated Olympian of all time – swimming GOAT
- 2000 Sydney – 2016 Rio Olympian
- This is our first one without him (*tear*)
- 23 Olympic gold medals (8 alone in the 2008 Beijing Games) and 39 WRs

- Katinka Hosszu (Kah-tink-ah Hoe-sue) – Team HUN
- She is the IM queen and athough she and her coach husband are getting a divorce, she is still sure to be a force in the medley events
- Sarah Sjostrom (Shoy-strum) – Team SWE
- This 3x Olympian is a threat in any fly and free sprint events.

- Kaylee McKeown – Team AUS
- She broke the 100m Back WR in Australia’s Olympic trials
- Results: She was a rising star during these games taking home gold in the 50m Free, 100m Free and 100m Fly
