  • College Basketball starts tomorrow (11/6) with some exciting games including 10. Michigan St vs 1. Kansas @ 6pm and 4. Duke vs 2. Kentucky @ 8:30pm in Indianapolis. The only other ranked vs ranked game is 25. Washington at 11. Auburn on Fri 11/8 @ 8:30pm.
  • Texas Guard, Andrew Jones, who was diagnosed with leukemia in January began outpatient care in August and has been able to rejoin practice. Although unsure if he will play this season, its been a miraculous story and he hopes to be there next year.

klay record

Football – College:

  • 9 teams went down in the Top 25. #3. LSU lost to #1 Alabama 0-29 for the 4th shut out at home. All of those shut outs have been to the Crimson Tide. With that win, Alabama wins the SEC West. #6 Georgia beat #9 Kentucky to clinch the SEC East. These 2 teams, who played in the National Championship last year will play in the SEC Championship game 12/1.
  • GameDay will be live from Boston College for #2 Clemson vs Boston College game.
  • Maryland … what to say about Maryland. I think I will have to have a separate post to keep up with all the drama lately but just so we are clear, their coach has now been fired. More to come in a later post.
  • The Air Force falcon, Aurora (a 22 yr old gyrafalcon) was injured during a prank before Saturday’s game against Army. Army/Navy have a tradition of stealing each other’s mascots but when the Army pranksters took Aurora, the falcon, she thrashed in a crate until her wings were bloody. She was returned and is now flying around her enclosure, a very good sign. Her breed is extremely rare and it is said that you need to be licensed just to touch one of these majestic creatures.
  • Texas Tech’s QB Alan Bowman was sent to the hospital due to a partially collapsed lung after he re-injured it during the Oklahoma game. He did not play the second half of the game. He first got this injury due to a hit during the West Virginia game in Sept.
  • Oklahoma RB Rodney Anderson, who is currently out for the season with an injury, will not return to Oklahoma but will declare for the draft instead.
  • UTEP won against Rice in the ‘Bottom 10 Bowl’ meaning both teams were the worst in the league. UTEP had 0 wins this season until Saturday. This snapped the longest current losing streak in CFB of 20 losses (UTEP hadn’t won since Nov 26, 2016). UTP had not beaten Rice at home in 13 years. Now, Rice holds that miserable title with 9 straight losses.
  • Other losses in the top 25:

  • Le’Veon Bell has not been in contact with the Steelers this week and the window is closing to play again at all this season. He must report on Nov 13th to play again this season. TBD on one of the highest point getters for Fantasy Football.
  • Reshad Jones left the game against the Jets after just 10 snaps. Reasons as to why he left the game are still unknown but at least it looks like the coach has now been informed. The public, not so much.
