Baseball
- The Boston Red Sox are World Series Champions
- They beat LA Dodgers in Game 5 (4-1) in LA. This is the 2nd year in a row that the Dodgers have lost the World Series at home. They are having a rough day.
Basketball – NBA:
- The Cavs fired their coach, Lue, after a 0-6 start.
- Giannis Antetokounmpo was placed on concussion protocol after Saturday’s game vs the Magic. He will miss today’s game vs the Raptors.
- MJ did a commercial for Saturday Night Football’s game of the Patriots vs the Packers, making a reference of how you make a call on who is the greatest of all time (i.e. Patriots QB Brady or Packers QB Rodgers). However, plenty of people are asking LeBron if he wants to settle this once and for all, he replied via twitter: “IM READY!!!! ”
- View the tweet on my twitter account.
- College Basketball returns Tuesday Nov 6th with notable games of Duke vs Kentucky and Kansas vs Michigan St.
Football – College:
- 11 teams went down in the Top 25 including 2 in the Top 10. Texas went down after a close battle with Oklahoma St and Florida lost to Georgia.
- To no one’s surprise, GameDay will be live from Baton Rouge, LA for the #1 Alabama/#4 LSU game. So we are guaranteed a loss in the Top 5.
- College Football Playoff rankings get announced on Tuesday (10/30) for the first time this season. Don’t know what I’m talking about? Check out the football vocab page.
- Kansas football beat TCU on Saturday. Yes you did read that correctly. No I did not mean to say basketball. Jayhawk football now has 3 wins this season, that’s the same number they had over the last 3 years combined!
- Appalachian St, who got ranked for the first time ever at #25, lost by 20 to Georgia Southern. It was a short-lived ranking but nice to break that barrier.
